Thank you for your interest in River Song!
Registration Fee
River Song Waldorf School is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving families from all economic and cultural backgrounds. We do not discriminate in any way, shape or form. In fact, we welcome you and your children with loving arms, a spritely song, and the perfect cup of camomile tea!
A one-time, non-refundable $125 deposit is required upon accepting a preschool or kindergarten opening, which will then be applied to your first month’s tuition.
A one-time $50 registration fee will be added to your first month’s invoice to help cover the time of the teachers to schedule home visits and parent meetings prior to your child joining their class.

Tuition Assistance
River Song Waldorf School provides preschool and childcare services to all families in our diverse community in Northern Colorado. We strive to meet the needs of single parent families, families in economic or educational transition and families whose income is less than 80% of the median income in Fort Collins.
How Tuition Assistance Works
Tuition Assistance is available on a first come first serve basis to families whose income is less than 80% of the median income in Fort Collins. To determine your family’s eligibility, please see the Director.
All families will be contacted regarding eligibility criteria and asked for supporting documentation at certain times during the year, including prior to enrollment. Income and personal data will be kept in strictest confidence. Once documentation has been received, it will be determined if you qualify for a discount up to 30% based on income. More may be available dependent on funds as well as temporary financial assistance in times of emergency.
In the 24-25 school year, our guidelines will go above the 80% threshold to be more inclusive with our increasing rates. This would apply to those not eligible for Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program.
Please note: We also accept children who do not meet the income criteria given above. As we’ve said, all families are welcome!
Universal Preschool (UPK)
River Song Waldorf School is excited to be able to participate in Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. This program will cover up to 15 hours of preschool for all Colorado children who turn 4 by 10/1/23.
How It Works
Families will apply to the UPK program once a spot at River Song has been secured. On your UPK application, you’ll indicate you currently attend River Song Waldorf School and put us down as your first choice. UPK will pay a set amount towards your child’s monthly tuition. For children in attendance more than 15 hours per week, this will show up as a credit and parents would be responsible for the remaining tuition, up to our normal rates. Summer care is not covered by UPK (September-May only).
Note: UPK will not cover tuition for the Th/F half day program as it does not meet the 15 hour requirement. It will cover Th/F full days.
