How can you set your child up for success?

New research shows what the Waldorf community has always known: free-play in childhood is a core indicator of success in adulthood. As part of the Waldorf tradition, River Song students are encouraged to explore, play and grow their imaginative spirits in a community utilizing mindful media use and in a preschool environment filled with loving caregivers and wholesome, natural materials.

A wooden bowl filled with nuts and pale seashells may become a pot of tea for two.
A length of silk may become a royal cape, a pirate’s vest, or fairy wings.
The wash of color across paper may become a dragon flashing across the sky.
A child’s voice becomes a siren, a lion, a leaf on the breeze, an unabashed laugh, a favorite seasonal song, a source of delight and strength to that child and others.

The results of the Waldorf method are time-proven and well-documented. Free play is the best activity for early childhood cognitive and social development, imparting abilities key to adult happiness and success.
